In one of India’s most fabled cities, Udaivilas is a vision from another time, in Rajasthani pink with a fabulous Raj roofscape of domes and pavilions.
The palace-like grounds are a flurry of courtyard, turquoise pools and tinkling fountains. Inside, everything is Raj-ready with domed ceilings, wall-paintings and gilding, but it’s welcoming and almost restrained.
Guest rooms have lavish marble bathrooms and butler service; some with private pools. The main pool is a black-and-white check masterpiece with silk parasols.
